Clackamas Community College proposed bond measure #3-613

Clackamas Community College has placed a bond renewal on the November 2024 ballot.

About the bond

If passed, the bond measure would fund projects that  would:

PREPARE: Expand student opportunities by funding a Natural Resources Center for Excellence for horticulture, arboriculture, farming and wildland fire programs, as well as an expansion of the welding center.

REPAIR: Make large-scale repairs including increasing accessibility for people with disabilities, addressing safety hazards, upgrading security and building systems.

CONNECT: Strengthens workforce and STEM opportunities with local employers in high-demand fields, expands workforce training at our Wilsonville campus, and creates life-long STEM learning opportunities for younger students with a first-of-its-kind in Oregon immersive space simulator center.

Proposed projects

If passed, the proposed bond projects would include:

  • New Natural Resources Center of Excellence
  • Updating athletic fields and walking trail
  • Modernizing learning spaces
  • Increasing access to STEM opportunities
  • Updating and fixing aging facilities
  • Increasing the safety of students and staff

For more information about the projects, visit the bond projects page.

Costs

If passed, the measure would authorize a continuation of the 2024 tax rate of $0.25 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The owner of an average assessed-value home would pay $7.22 per month or $86.59 per year.

This is estimated to not raise your tax rate.

If passed, Clackamas Community College would be eligible for up to $16 million in matching funds from the state if the measure passes.
