CCC Board of Education Documents

Board meetings

The Clackamas Community College (CCC) Board of Education generally meets the third Wednesday of each month. These are open public meetings and the board will have an agenda item for public comment if they allow it at that meeting.

If you believe the CCC Board of Education has violated a provision of public meetings law, written grievances can be submitted in writing within 30 calendar days of the meeting. Grievances should be sent or delivered (in-person, by mail, or via email) to the board recorder, Kattie Riggs. To submit a grievance in-person, you must submit the written notice to the college’s President’s Office during business hours. The office is open Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m.– 5 p.m.

The board recorder can be reached at 503-594-3002 or board@clackamas.edu.

Public comments

The Clackamas Community College Board of Education welcomes community members to attend board meetings to become acquainted with the programs and operations of the college district. Members of the public are encouraged to share their comments with the board during the agenda item labeled "public comments." Comments from the audience at any other time during the meeting, except for the public comment agenda item, will be declared out of order.

Here are ways you can participate in CCC’s public board meetings:

  • Submit written comments to the board recorder at board@clackamas.edu by 5 p.m. the day before the meeting.
  • Register to provide oral comments virtually by noon on the day of the meeting by contacting the board recorder at board@clackamas.edu.
  • Attend the meeting in person and register to provide oral comments during the appropriate time at the meeting. To register for in-person oral comments, put your name, contact information, city of residence, affiliation with the college, and subject matter to be discussed on the sign-up sheet inside the main entrance to the meeting.

Guidelines for comments during board meetings

When providing oral comments at board meetings, please follow these rules:

  • Wait to be called to the speaker table before making any comments.
  • Once at the speaker table, please speak into the microphone so that everyone can hear you.
  • Begin by stating your first and last name clearly for the record, as well as your city of residence.
  • Oral comments are limited to 3 minutes or less.
  • The board does not typically engage during public comment.
  • The board will not hear personal attacks or personnel issues during public comment. If there is an appropriate channel to direct these concerns, the board may interrupt the comments and ask that they be addressed with the college president at another time.

All public board meetings will be recorded and can be viewed either live or after the meeting on the board’s YouTube channel.
