2026 Commencement Ceremony
CCC's annual commencement ceremony in the spring celebrates the graduates of our GED, Adult High School, and degree and certificate programs.
2026 ceremony details
Weather
This will be an outdoor event and will happen "rain or shine." Dress for the weather!
- The seating area for graduates and the main stage will not be tented.
- Guest seats will be exposed to the weather.
- Guests and graduates will be walking on uneven surfaces and grass; high heels are not recommended footwear.
Time
The ceremony begins promptly at 4 p.m. Plan for the ceremony to last at least two and a half hours.
- Students need to arrive by 3 p.m.; no later than 3:30 p.m.
- Guest seating begins at 3 p.m.
- Allow extra time for traffic and parking
- Plan for you and your guests to stay for the entire event to give all graduates their time to shine to celebrate their accomplishments and allow their loved ones to enjoy seeing them walk across the stage.
Parking
Parking is free on campus and graduates and guests can park in any parking lot. The lot closest to the Graduation Field is the Blue lot.
Registration
Registration for the ceremony is required!
- An email will be sent to all eligible students when registration opens in April.
- Clackamas Community College has partnered with Tassel for registration and ticketing.
Seating and ticketing
- Tickets for Guests: Tickets will need to be shown at the gate for entrance to guest seating.
- Graduates are responsible for allocating their guest tickets to their guests.
- Graduates can either print or send their guests an electronic ticket from Tassel. Only original tickets will be accepted. Screen shots of tickets will not be accepted. Please contact your graduate for your ticket.
- Children under 1 year old do not need a ticket
- Graduates do not need a ticket.
- There are no additional/extra tickets available
Caps and gowns
Cap and gowns are free for graduates attending the ceremony.
- Cap & gowns are expected to be worn by graduates at the ceremony
- Graduates picked up their cap and gown at the time they chose when they registered for the ceremony.
- Caps can be decorated
Accommodations
ADA accommodation information was collected for graduates and guests at the time of registration. If you need one, please email gradceremony@clackamas.edu.
Recognition cords
Honor cords and honor societies information:
- Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through Winter 2026 or the last completed term will be notated in the Ceremony Program and given a gold honor cord to wear at the ceremony.
- Students can check their cumulative GPA through Self-Service under Unofficial Transcript.
- Phi Theta Kappa Students
- Stoles can be ordered at PTK's website.

- Delta Alpha Pi Students
- Blue and Gold honor cords for active members can be picked up by contacting Felicia Arce.

- Veteran’s Cord
- Verified student veterans are eligible to receive the Veteran’s Cord.
- Veterans with questions regarding verified status or to pick up their cord can email vetinfo@clackamas.edu.
- Disability Resource Center Cord
- Honoring Disability Resource Center students.

Degrees and Certificates
- Students do not receive their diploma or certificate at the ceremony.
- An empty diploma cover will be given to you as you walk across the stage.
- If you have not received your diploma or certificate already, it will be mailed to you. If you are spring applicant for graduation, be sure to check your myClackamas email account after the ceremony for when it will be mailed.
Reminders
Be respectful and have fun!
- Ensure proper travel time to the college for the ceremony for you and your guests.
- Make your dinner reservations for a night of celebration!
