Project description
On May 18, 2022, the CCC Board of Education approved a contract to renovate the first floor of Roger Rook Hall. This space was vacated with the completion of the Wacheno Welcome Center and The Print's move to Pauling C. The renovation plan was developed by Opsis Architects (the firm that designed the Holden Industrial Technology Center and Wacheno Welcome Center).
The first floor include the President's Office suite, the CCC Foundation and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. A large, dividable community room is available for college and community events and Board of Education meetings. There is also be a small classroom and a meeting room adjacent to the community rooms. Other elements include a gender-neutral restroom, a lactation room and a catering prep area.
The project was awarded to Fortis Construction and was completed in the winter of 2022.
