Steps for Veterans

If you are a veteran, follow these steps to use your GI Bill, Chapter 33, or other VA financial resources:

STEP 01
Apply to CCC
Complete the online application. Once admitted you will receive an email with your next steps and a login for the student portal, myClackamas.
STEP 02

Send benefits documentation
If you already have a certificate of eligibility or statement of benefits, please send a copy of it to us at vetinfo@clackamas.edu. Emailing a picture works. If you do not yet have this documentation, apply for your VA educational benefits.

STEP 03
Fill out CCC’s VA data form
To establish your VA file at Clackamas Community College, please fill out and return the first two pages of the new student packet.

  • Note that some fields on the form use a dropdown menu to select your choices.
STEP 04
Send transcripts
Please have any official transcripts sent to us, including your military transcripts. Order military transcripts through the Joint Services Transcript system
  • You have a one term grace period to send transcripts.
STEP 05
Request for your classes to be certified
You can find the request form on this webpage [anchor link to ID]. You must do this every term after you register for your classes.

Steps for family members of veterans

Many family members of veterans are also eligible for VA benefits. Follow these steps to get started.

STEP 01
